Belt Kup Pattern

Grading Information

10th Kup 4 Directional Punching (Exercise)
White (signifies) innocence, as that of a beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Tae Kwon-Do.

Grading Information

9th Kup Chon Ji (19 Moves) 
Yellow signifies the earth from which a plant sprouts and takes root as Tae Kwon-Do foundations are being laid.
Grading Information

8th Kup Dan Gun (21 Moves)
Yellow signifies the earth from which a plant sprouts and takes root as Tae Kwon-Do foundations are being laid.

7th Kup Do San (24 Moves)
Green signifies the plants growth as Tae Kwon-Do skills begin to develop.

6th Kup Won-Hyo (28 Moves)
Green signifies the plants growth as Tae Kwon-Do skills begin to develop.

5th Kup Yul-Gok (38 Moves)
Blue signifies the heaven towards which the plant matures into a towering tree as training in Tae Kwon-Do progresses.

4th Kup Joong-Gun (32 Moves)
Blue signifies the heaven towards which the plant matures into a towering tree as training in Tae Kwon-Do progresses

3rd Kup Toi Gye (37 Moves)
Red signifies danger cautioning the student to exercise control and warning the opponent to stay away.

2nd Kup Hwa Rang (29 Moves)
Red signifies danger cautioning the student to exercise control and warning the opponent to stay away.

1st Kup Choong-Moo (30 Moves)
Black is the opposite of white, therefore signifying maturity and proficiency (in Tae Kwon-Do). It also indicates the wearer is impervious to darkness and fear.
